The Centurion<\/em>
\n<\/strong>
\nThe others said He was dead,
\nTo be sure, I drove my spear into His side.<\/p>\n

His Blood splashed down upon me
\nAnd I felt a chill to my spine.<\/p>\n

The sun is setting; the women have gone.
\nSome old man has come to claim His naked Body.<\/p>\n

We have divided his garments among us.
\nI won His tunic with a throw of the dice.<\/p>\n

I will keep watch where they have laid Him.
\nIt is the least I can do.<\/p>\n

Perhaps this Robe of His will warm my flesh.
\nIndeed, my heart seems strangely warm.<\/p>\n
